Tel: 00972-599197097 Dr. Hamarsheh has been an Assistant professor in Department of Biological sciences since 2007. His research interests include development of microsatellite markers from vector species of infectious diseases like sand flies and mosquitoes. He has special interest in population genetics of Phlebotomus papatasi sand flies. Since leishmaniasis disease is endemic in the Middle East and north Africa, he is interested in epidemiology and ecology of leishmaniasis . Dr Hamarsheh received his BSc. Degree in Biology and medical technology from Al-Quds University in Spring 1995. He worked for 3 years as teacher of biology at local high school in Jenin. On 2002 he received a MSc. Degree in Biochemistry and molecular biology from Al-Quds University. During his work as researcher at Medical research center in 2002-2003, he received a PhD scholarship from German research foundation and graduated with PhD in Molecular Biology and Parasitology on December 2007 from Humboldt University in Berlin.
